My grandma used to make these yummy creations. Each time I’ve tried using her recipe they always turn out super dry. So, I’ve come up with a new recipe.
1 Chocolate Cake Mix
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
Mix all ingredients. Once it is mixed well, continue mixing for 1-2 minutes.
Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. Drop batter onto sheet by 1/4 cupfuls. (I used a medium scoop). Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
Cool for 15 minutes. Depending on your time, you have two options. You can fill the gobs with a tub of frosting or make Grandma’s Filling.
4 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cup Crisco (you can use half butter and half shortening if you like)
2 tsp. vanilla
4 TBSP. flour
4 TBSP. milk
Beat together. If it is too thick add a little more milk. Too runny, add some more powdered sugar.
Place your desired frosting between two cookies.
You’ll need to individually wrap each gob so that they don’t stick together. These are so yummy!!!
