13 Summer Must Haves from Amazon

Spider Swing

Our spider swing gets a tun of use during the warmer months! We have ours setup on a tree in the wooded area beside our house, but you could easily attach it to a swingset.

It’s definitely fun for kids all ages.

Wise Owl Hammock

Even if it’s only for 5-10 minutes, relaxing in the hammock is one of my favorite outdoor activities. Our hammock is setup close to Dalton’s spider swing and pallet fort so I can hang out with him while he’s playing.

This Wise Owl Hammock is super sturdy and breathable. We have the double hammock and both Dalton and I can lay in it at the same time.

Hammock hack: Use a travel pillow like this one for added comfort!

Thermacell Lantern

Whether we’re in the woods or just sitting on our back porch, mosquitos seem to find us. That is, until we bring out our Thermacell.

This mosquito repellant uses a single butane cartridge (don’t worry there aren’t any open flames) which heats a repellant mat that creates a 15 x 15 foot area of protection from unwanted insects and bugs.

There’s even a clipon Thermacell option that you can wear if you’re hiking or on the move.

frisbee

Aerobie Superdisc

Did you know that all frisbees are not created equal?

Yep, it’s true, and once you try this Aerobie Superdisc with you’ll definitely agree with me. It has a cushioned edge that makes catching it so much nicer to catch.

Ultima Replenisher Electrolyte Mix

We try our best to stay away from sugary drinks, but sometimes you just need something different than water.

Not only is this Ultima Replenisher Electrolyte Mix a fabulous way to stay hydrated but I love that it doesn’t have any sugar in it like some of the sports drinks. (It’s sweetened with Rebaudioside from stevia leaf).

There are 12 different flavors to choose from, but I think my favorite is watermelon!

Silicone Bottle Brush

Speaking of staying hydrated, this bottler cleaner makes cleaning our water bottles super easy!

Summer Bridge Activities Book

Summer is about fun but I also want Dalton to remember what he learned at school last year.

He is required to do a few pages of a workbook each weekday before watching shows or playing video games.

We have done other workbooks in the past but this year his teacher highly recommend this Summer Bridge Activities book. I love that each day’s work has a variety of activities so it mixes things up for him.

Check out Summer Bridge Activities Book for all grades here.

Air Fort

Do you remember making forts as a kid? I sure do and I had so much fun draping sheets and such all over the place!

In addition to traditional forts, Dalton loves this Air Fort. Putting it up is as simple as hooking it to a box fan. (See how quickly we can set ours up here.)

My favorite part how easy cleanup is…simply shove it back into the bag.

UNO Flip

We love to play games and Uno Flip has quickly become one of our favorite card games.

The cards have two sides. One side has the traditional UNO cards and the other side, which is my favorite side to play with, has new colors and stiffer penalties. And, yes, you play the game switching back and forth between both sides.

This is super fun for both 2 players and a large group.

Check out more 2 player card games here.

Women’s Knit Sport Shorts

I wear these shorts around the house and on my morning walks.

They’ re made of a breathable favorite that has an elastic waistband. I love how comfy they are and that they’re not super short. (I’m 5’4 and these look a lot shorter on the model in the pic than they are on me.)

The fit is true to size, and I wear an x-large.

Running Shorts

I wear these shorts out and about, and they’re super comfy.

I like my shorts a bit longer than most people so these are the perfect length for my 5’4 frame, and fall a few inches above my knee. They’re lightweight and have an elastic waistband with drawstring.

The fit is true to size, and I wear an x-large.

Tropical Shine Foot File

Warmer weather means flip flops and sandals! This Tropical Shine foot file is my favorite way to keep my heels on the up and up.

The best time to use it is when you’re in the shower and your feet are already wet. I recommend using it a few times a week to keep your heels nice and smooth!

Fun Nail Polish

If you plan on wearing sandals your toenails must be polished!

This year I’m wearing Essie’s Imported Bubbly which is a shimmery polish that has beigy champagne hue.

It’s a lighter color (but not too light) but I love that it’s not as noticeable if it chips.

Speaking of chipping nail polish. If you’re planning on doing your nails at home learn how to keep your nail polish from chipping.
