Whether your children like you to read aloud to them or are into audio books, they’re going to love these mystery chapter books for kids. These must reads are for both boys and girls and are perfect for summer, winter, or any time of the year really. You’ll find new and classic fiction books that are funny, diverse, wholesome, fun and full of adventure.

(Need more encouragement and inspiration in your mothering journey? Check out my mothering posts here.)

This fabulous list of mystery chapter books for kids came about because of my son’s love of reading. Whether it be audiobooks or me reading aloud to him, he’s enjoyed books since he was little. (In fact, at the age of 3 we bought him an iPod just for listening to audiobooks during his quiet time in the afternoon and at night when going to sleep.)

If you’ve ever searched for books for your kids you know that good books are hard to come by. (There are a lot of strange books out there.) With that being said, there are no perfect books so make sure to read them to make sure they match up with your family’s values before giving them to your kids.

We love the books on this list and many of them have been read over and over.

Without further ado, I give you the best mystery chapter books for kids!
