Last week my friend and reader, Crystal, shared on Facebook that she made Bayou Brownies. It was the first I’d heard of this type of brownie, and since I’m a sweets kind of girl I had to know more. Obviously the rest is history since I’m sharing her fabulous recipe with you!
I love that this recipe is super simple and only has five ingredients. Now that’s what I’m talking about!
1/2 cup melted Butter
1 Yellow Cake Mix
8 oz Cream Cheese
16 oz Powdered Sugar
- Combine cake mix, butter, 1 egg, and mix well. Press into a greased 9 x 13 dish.
- Combine 2 eggs, powdered sugar and cream cheese, beating until the mixture is smooth. Pour on top of the cake mix crust.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 40 minutes or until cream cheese mixture is set.
- Cool completely and refrigerate!
