Christmas was a bit different for me this year. This is the third Christmas that my dad has not been with us (he passed away two years ago) and this has been the hardest one for me. I couldn’t help but wonder what kind of celebration they were having in Heaven. As we read the Christmas story yesterday I couldn’t help but think of all the years he would read it to us.  I sure do miss him and am so thankful to have had him in my life!

Yesterday Trent and I celebrated Christmas with his family.

My sister and her family from Kansas City came in town for the week so I was excited to visit with them today.  No family gathering would be complete without eating, right?

My Uncle Larry and Aunt Kathy.

My brother-in-law, Doug, and nephew, Joel.

We all have our favorites and this is one of mine. My mom makes the best stuffing! It’s just not the same without it!

My mom, niece, Elizabeth, cousin, Kayla, and Aunt Kathy.

My Uncle, Larry, and sister, Leah.

The adults in our family usually draw names.  This year we decided to purchase gift cards and play dirty santa.  It was quite fun!

Elizabeth and Cole were having fun.  She would lift her legs and he would copy her!  As you can tell, he quite enjoyed it!

This was the best picture we could get for right now.  Can you tell that his mom was taking the picture and he wanted her?  We’ll try again later in the week.

Did you have a good Christmas?  What kinds of fun things did you do?
