Have you ever looked at another woman and thought “Wow! What a perfect Christian. She’s got it all figured out.”?
Everyone probably has at some point in time. But what we fail to realize sometimes is that behind that woman of faith you see, are years of work and refining by God. A lot of years and deep pruning.
You see, people aren’t born good Christians, they are transformed into them.
Christianity is a lifelong journey of constant pruning to bring out the best version of you God sees.
If you want to grow in your faith, you’ll have to cooperate with God by submitting to His process and giving Him the chance to do what He wants to do in your life.
We see various examples of women of faith in the Bible like Rahab, Deborah, and Hannah. How can you grow to believe God for the seemingly impossible like these women did?
10 Inspiring Ideas to Help You Grow Your Faith in God
Here are some steps you can take on your journey to become ladies of faith:
1. Spend time with God daily.
Time and intentionality must be invested in any relationship if it must grow.
The same way we spend time bonding with our neighbors, family, and friends, we must also spend time in God’s presence, worshiping and getting to know Him.
No matter how busy your schedule gets, put God first. Take out time in your day to just sit and talk deeply with Him.
2. Build a daily habit of reading the Bible.
The Bible is God’s Word. If you want to hear from Him, receive guidance, and know His will, you’ll have to spend time studying His Word.
Romans 10:17 says, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ”.
If you want grow in faith, you must read scripture and actively believe in it. The words in the Bible are spirit and life.

Prayer involves God in your life and the situation you’re praying about.
It is through prayer that we are transformed and our faith is being strengthened.

4. Be part of a Bible-believing church.
Just like every child needs a family to grow, every Christian needs a family of faith to grow.
It is in the church that God’s Word is fed to you like milk is given to a baby for growth.
The Church gives you a family of people who are on the same journey of growth as you are.
Proverbs 27:17 says, “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”
Associating with these people will stir you to pursue God more. You can also join other Christian women’s organizations.
Church also gives you an avenue to serve God and the family with your talents and gifts, so get involved.
5. Memorize scripture.
Psalm 119:11 says, “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
Memorizing scriptures increases your awareness of God’s opinion on everything.
The Word of God becomes a filter through which your every thought or action flows.
It also serves as a weapon to combat sinful or false thoughts and the lies of the devil.
Meditating on scripture helps you believe it more and more until it becomes your reality.

6. Find a mentor.
A good way to grow is to find someone who has already grown to a reasonable extent to guide you.
Find someone you admire perhaps in your local church, and ask her to keep you accountable for your growth. You can go to her with your questions and concerns, and prayer needs.
Spiritual leadership and accountability are important for progress.
Also, as a woman, your mentor should be a fellow woman too. Having a male mentor could pretty much complicate things, as you’re expected to be close and intimate in communication with whoever is over you.
7. Work on eliminating your sins and bad habits day by day.
Hebrews 12:1 says to, “strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
Consciously and deliberately work on trading your habits that you know do not bring you closer to God for good ones that do.
For example, you can curb the habit of being lazy and build a habit of waking up earlier to spend time with God.
Aside from working on it yourself, it’s important to receive the strength to do it by praying about it.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you.
8. Practice walking in love.
John 13:35 says, “by this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Love was stressed so much in the Bible because it is God’s nature to love people regardless of their opinions and backgrounds.
To grow in our faith, we must also show God’s love to everyone around us.
We must practice giving, being more patient and tolerant with others, and soul winning.
The highest form of love you can show someone is leading them to salvation in Christ.
In evangelism, you can also build your faith by trusting God for miracles for the people whose souls you want to win.
9. Read good Christian books and listen to sermons.
This helps you glean from the wisdom of others.
Be careful not to read resources that are not biblical.
You can get started by asking other grown Christians for the books and sermons that helped them in their faith walk.

Conclusion
The key to the Christian life is the Holy Spirit.
John 14:26 says, “But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.”
Never try to grow by yourself or in your strength, it can be frustrating and futile. Constantly ask the Holy Spirit for help in all things and all areas of your life.
Keeping track of your growth in a journal will encourage you to keep going.
Persistence is the key to thriving in faith. It may be hard to stay disciplined and patient, but James 1:4 says, “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”
Learning how to grow your faith in God is worth paying every price for so that the greatness in you can emerge.
As a religious leader and keeper of sheep, I have the duty to educate my community in the faith in God. In our fast-paced society, finding time to go to church and dedicate to our Lord is nearly impossible for some people. I want to show how technology can be used in the service of God to strengthen our faith.
