Yesterday after sleeping in (one of my favorite things to do on the weekend) and then putzing around on the computer for a while, I finally got off my duff to get some work done. I had quite a few cleaning items on my to-do list and, as you can imagine, I wasn’t looking forward them it at all!

Shower Curtain Liners

I recently found this tip on how to clean shower curtain liners from Spring Cleaning. I was a bit skeptical but figured it couldn’t hurt anything if it didn’t work and tried it yesterday. I’m happy to report that it worked very well and I’ll be using it again the next time my liner needs cleaned (and you should too)!

More Cleaning

One of the big ticket items I had on my list was cleaning our front porch railings. A few years ago we replaced our wood railings with vinyl front porch railings. (I’m so glad we chose to replace the wood with vinyl!) This is actually the first time that we’ve had to clean them.

Here’s a few before pictures:

I figured I’d clean the windows on the front porch while I was at it. As you can see, they looked a bit horrendous!

I was secretly hoping that I’d be able to just spray off the railings, but alas, that didn’t get off the grime. So, I soaped up a sponge and got to work.

And now for the big reveal!

This project didn’t take too terrible long. Like I normally do, I had conjured up in my mind that this was going to be a gruesome task, and it really wasn’t. But, I sure am glad to have it off of my list for a few more years (hopefully)!

I also stayed the course and finished the rest of my chores on my list! Like I normally do, once I got on a roll, I didn’t stop until I was finished!

What have you been up to this weekend? Did you get any big ticket items marked off of your to-do list?
