As I was driving home from work tonight, I was talking to God about my blog posts and asking Him to show me what I should write about. It may sound funny to you that I would talk to Him about that, but I do.
The Holy Spirit urged me to write an encouraging word, not just for me but for you.
You see, the last few days/weeks have been a bit hard for me. I know that it has a lot to do with losing my precious dad and grandparents all within the past six months. But like me, I know that you may be walking down a difficult path too.
I don’t know what that may be but God does! And there is nothing more that Satan would like than to use our difficult paths for his good. I Peter 5:8 tell us, “Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
Know that you are not walking down this path alone because Jesus is right there beside you!
John 10:27-30 says, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
Isn’t it comforting to know that no one can snatch us out of the Father’s hand? Man, that sure is encouraging to me. In fact, when I think about these verses I picture His open and me sitting directly in the middle of them. I’m safe!
I want to share one last passage with you.
Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
I don’t know about you but I would much rather have the lighter yoke. Won’t you take a minute to rest in the Father’s hands and trade your heavy yoke for His light one?
You may be someone that doesn’t know what it feels like to have a relationship with the Father. I’d love to talk more to you about that and share with you how this is possible.
