Hands of Woman Using Laptop ComputerThis thing called blogging is so crazy! Who knew 10 years ago I would be bearing my soul for the whole world to see if they want to. Okay, well, I don’t bear my entire soul but I’m quite candid here at Thrifty T’s Treasures and I love it!

When I started this blog I simply wanted to share my finds at the grocery store. After all, who doesn’t want to know about a fabulous deal that they can score too? There’s no doubt that I’ve had some great grocery hauls (although the deals aren’t as great as they used to be). I remember when… (as I digress)

As time has gone on I’ve realized that I don’t want to be known just for my great deals at the stores. When I went to counseling a few years ago I learned that I do have something to offer in this life (whether you believe it or not, you do too)! I learned that my writing might just touch someone. Maybe something that I share can resonate deep within your heart! Although I can’t find the exact quote, a book I read a few years ago gave me an a-ha moment. The premise – we all have something to offer, but what if we don’t share it? By not opening up and sharing we can miss an opportunity that God has given us.

Now, I’ve been a super private person since I was a teenager. Sharing just isn’t something that I’ve ever done. After all, you can’t get hurt if you don’t share, right? It’s neat to see how God’s changed me over the past few years. I think part of my healing process has been writing here at Thrifty T’s Treasures. Sure, I share my crazy stories of conversations with cashiers but we’ve also had some heart to heart moments, and I’m so thankful for that.

Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or are just joining us, I’m so glad you’re here! Thank you for letting me be me and joining me on this crazy journey called life.
