I’ve totally fallen off the wagon when it comes to peek into our week posts…sorry!
If you’re not already hanging out with me on Facebook I’d love for you to – there’s always a bit of fun happening over there!
Ok, let me see if I can catch you up on what we’ve been up to…
We enjoyed our garden so much last year that we’re going to have another one this year! We started a bit early because Trent wanted to try to grow a few plants from seeds.
I had found this article on starting seeds and he gave it a go. They’re doing quite nicely. (He used super old seeds in the ones that are empty. Obviously those are a no-go, but I’m quite impressed with the rest!)
Trent asked me out on a date a few weeks ago and it was so refreshing for the two of us to get out! I had found a discount voucher online (hey, they don’t call me Thrifty T for nothing) and we were able to try a new restaurant in town!
Trent has been such a huge support for me. He always makes me laugh, listens when I need to talk and lets me cry on his shoulder. I know I wouldn’t have been able to survive this past year without him. I’m so blessed to have this wonderful man in my life!
(Just in case you’re wondering, no, we don’t have a perfect marriage. Just like every other couple, we get upset at each other and argue. We’re not perfect, but we’re perfect for each other!)
Gummie Veggies & Fruits
I know what you’re thinking…there’s no such thing as fruits and veggies in a gummie!
Well, I’d beg to differ because these four gummies in my hand have 20 fruits and veggies in them. I started sharing this wonderful news earlier this month and I’m on a mission to share it with the blogosphere. (To learn more, check out How To Get Your Kids To Eat More Vegetables and Fruits!)
How I Saved This Month
Every few months I have to call to get our cable bill lowered. I’ve been doing this for years and have had pretty good success.
A couple months ago I did an online chat with a cable representative and they told me they couldn’t lower our bill. I was a bit perturbed. After all, they’d lowered it at least $5 a month every other time I’d contacted them.
Even though this is a task that isn’t fun, I knew I had to try again. I had a competitor flyer in hand that would allow me to get phone, internet and cable for close to what I was paying just for my cable now.
I finally bit the bullet and called. Right off the bat I asked for the cancellation department. Long story short, she ended up giving $10 off a month for 10 months. Now that’s what I’m talking about!
If you pay on time every month there’s no reason for companies not to give you a discount. Hey, it’s worth a shot!
As you can see, Dalton is sitting up on his own now. He’s still a bit wobbly at times but we all were. Honestly I think he’d rather stand than sit because a lot of the time when I help pull him up when he’s laying down he’ll straighten his legs to stand.
I’m betting that he’ll be crawling by next month.
It’s a tradition – every morning Dalton jumps in his swing while I do a few morning chores. He loves this thing and it’s a great way for him to get exercise!
He celebrated his half birthday this month! (No, we don’t really celebrate half birthdays but they’re fun to talk about.)
Wouldn’t you agree that it’s time for this little man to have a hair trim? Thankfully we have the best hairdresser in the world – my sister!
Well, that should catch you up for now!
What have you been up to?
