All women face difficult days in this crazy life and it is my prayer that these words of encouragement will give you strength during your hard times. May these simple tips be the inspiration you need for today and help you be the woman that God has called you to be as you purpose to be positive and who He has called to be!
We all have those days when we feel depressed, blah, down in the dumps, whatever you want to call it. It’s so easy to stay down when you’re having one of those days isn’t it?
Here are three simple tips you can do to help yourself get through a difficult day. The next time you’re having a bad day, and you will, I encourage you to give these a shot!
1. Take a Bath/Shower
I know this sounds so simple but taking a bath/shower on the days when I’m feeling blah is very therapeutic for me. If I have extra time I’ll even take a bubble bath and light some candles! There’s just something refreshing about feeling clean and it helps me feel so much better about myself.
2. Put On Make-Up and/or Perfume
Even on the days when I’m not going out of the house I’ll put on a bit of make-up and perfume. This gives me a feeling of femininity and lifts my spirits!
3. Cling to a Promise from God’s Word
You may think it’s cheesy but I can attest to the fact that finding a scripture from God’s Word and clinging to it can lift up my spirits and help me get through a difficult day! This not only gives me great truth but it also helps get my mind off of my problems. If you’re not sure where to get started, below are a few suggestions.
Feeling Alone – Matthew 28:20b ~ Isaiah 58:9 ~ Psalm 145:18-19 ~ Psalm 91:4
Feeling Afraid – Joshua 1:9 ~ Psalm 91:11-12 ~ Isaiah 41:10 ~ Isaiah 43:1b-2
Feeling Defeated – Psalm 121:1-2 ~ Luke 18:27 ~ Psalm 40:1-2
Needing Direction– Isaiah 30:21
Needing Confidence – Hebrews 10:35-36 ~ Philippians 4:13
Feeling Impatient – Psalm 27:14
Feeling Worthless/Unattractive – Psalm 139:13-14
