Check out my blog traffic and income report for the month of October and November!I’m absolutely blown away with the numbers I’m about to share with you! I gave birth to our little guy on October 13, only shared a few posts for the remainder of October that and took the entire month of November off. Honestly, I was prepared for a drop in traffic and income, but that wasn’t the case at all!

I have my Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling recipe to thank for the spike in traffic. In both October and November it received 61,681 pageviews! Wow!

My spike in income may or not be because of holiday ads. Whether it is or not, I’ll take it!

Here’s a look at the numbers:

What I Learned In The Last Two Months

Pinterest Has Changed

It’s no secret that Pinterest has changed. At the beginning of October I continued to pin to group boards daily but didn’t see much traffic from them – we’ll just say that I wasn’t too happy about the changes. To be honest, I became quite frustrated since Pinterest is where most of my traffic comes from.

Even though I only pinned a handful of times during my blogging break, Pinterest continued to be my number one referral. In fact, my Pumpkin Roll with Cream Cheese Filling recipe did extremely well! (I’ll be interested to see how my Pinterest traffic does when people stop searching for pumpkin rolls. Fingers crossed that I’ll have another post that’ll do well.)

Trying Different Ad Networks

As you can see from my income totals, PriceGrabber was the winner for ad network earnings! Woot!

I wish I could say the same for Switch Ads. I’ll likely be removing them from my site in December since they’re not performing well.

This just goes to prove that there’s nothing wrong with trying new things.

Wow! I am so excited for you! It’s like a juicy little reward from heaven for stepping up and (ahem) “taking a vacation.” I just can’t tell you how happy I am for you.

Now that I’m over that, I was also disappointed at the Pinterest change. My page views has gone way down. But like you said, we’ll just try something new and learn to adapt.

Thank you, Deborah. It’s definitely a blessing from the Lord!

Hopefully we’ll be able to figure out Pinterest before it changes again!

Wow, that is awesome! I think to that it is so neat how God surprised you.

I’m also disappointed about Pinterest. I just went independent with my blog (previously blogged for Parents.com) and I’m a little nervous about how my traffic will be because I’ve seen a huge decrease in what Pinterest brings me.

I’m curious about how PriceGrabber works. I haven’t been able to figure out much from their site.

      Hi Lydia,
I love how the Lord gives us precious surprises along this journey of life. He’s so neat like that!

Congrats on becoming an independent blogger! Hopefully we’ll be able to figure out something on Pinterest and drive in some more traffic on our sites.

Did you sign up for PriceGrabber? They send your ad codes instead of letting you create them yourself. Seems odd to me, but hey it works.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Congrats! Those numbers are moving up for you!

You know, for me, and maybe it’s because my little part of blog land is smaller, but I noticed a tiny dip in traffic, followed by a LARGE (for me) increase in followers, and now a larger increase in traffic. Again, maybe the numbers look more drastic because they’re smaller than yours, but it’s making a difference in a good way to me.

I also have to tell you that the no bake cookie recipe you recently posted is one of my all time favorite cookies. Love them!

      Thanks, Jill!

No matter what numbers any of us have, an increase in traffic is exciting! Congrats on yours!

I’m so glad you enjoyed the cookies. That’s very encouraging so thanks for letting me know.
